FAQs
When should I bring my in pet?
Pets come to see us for a variety of reasons including recommendations or referrals from vets. Any changes in behaviour, eating habits, indications of pain or discomfort are a good reason to seek care.
We also recommend being proactive with preventative care. This can be particularly helpful for aging pets and breeds predisposed to health conditions or injuries.
What type of pets can you treat?
Our animal osteopathic practitioner Julie has expertise across almost all animal breeds. This includes household pets such as cats and dogs, exotic pets, farm and zoo animals. Home visits are available for larger animals and owners unable to travel to the clinic.
How many treatments will they need?
The number and frequency of treatments are dependent on the type, age and presenting complaints your pet has. This is why after your initial appointment we will write you a treatment plan including: your pets diagnosis, number of expected treatments and take home advice.
Do I need a referral from my vet?
You don’t need any referral to come see us privately.
However if you have pet insurance, osteopathic treatment can be fully or partially covered. This does require a vet referral.
Is my pet covered by insurance?
The insurance providers below will contribute to your pets treatments with a vet referral. We cannot directly invoice them so we require payment upfront. We can happily provide you with your invoice and any necessary notes for you to submit to your insurance provider.
